Easter Update Fixes Walls XP Compatibility Issue
A special Easter build of Walls, the popular cave survey data management program for Windows, fixes an error introduced during the recent St. Patrick’s day release.
The new release, tagged Walls Version 2, B8 Release, Build 2015-04-05, reverses a change that broke compatibility with Windows XP.
It seems the aging operating system which Microsoft itself stopped supporting nearly a year ago, is still supported by walls. Awesome.
Could the cavers still using XP by chance, be the same ones unwilling to give up their carbide lamps?
The fix comes thanks to the Igor Teleshman’s report of the problem and David McKenzie giving up his holiday.
