Cave Rescue Organisation volunteers came to the aid of a young lamb who had fallen into Hull Pot near Horton in Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire on Sunday.

The lamb was discovered by walkers who had reported the sighting to CRO just before 3:00pm.

A small team attended the scene and hauled out a lamb with a broken leg from the 18 metre (60 foot) deep collapsed cavern. It was delivered it to its owner.

This was the 39th incident of the year for the very active team.
