A new Petzl video features the 2012 Wowo expedition to the Nakanai Mountains of Papua New Guinea.

The footage, commentated by special agent professor Dingle, follows a team of twelve French and Swiss cavers during the month-long February 2012 expedition during which they discovered almost 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) of new passage.

As a result of their efforts, the Wowo cave system, the main target for the trip, has now been surveyed to more than 20 kilometres (12 miles) long and 660 meters (2,165 feet) deep, making the system the longest in New Britain, and the second deepest in Papua New Guinea.

In addition to their explorations at Wowo, the team also discovered and explored Khou, a 423 meter (1,388 foot) deep cave, as well as many other underground passages.
