Modern Day Troglodytes

March 29, 2011

Although the idea of living in caves has gone out of fashion in the last few thousand years, that doesn’t stop people in different parts of the world who continue the tradition. These 21st century troglodytes live all over the world, in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Caves are cool in the summer, warm in the winter, offer great protection from the elements and have fewer building-material expenses. – The Street

The move into a cave doesn’t have to be a difficult task either, there are a number of cave homes currently available on todays real estate market. The Street came out with an article recently “Extreme Real Estate: Live in a Cave” which highlights a few of them.
