Gear, expeditions, events and everything in between is covered in the eclectic July 2015 issue of NSS News, due out soon.

The upcoming issue begins with an article by Luis Espinasa on fostering a new generation of scholarly cavers with NSS Grants and community service.

Next up is report on the 2015 Tham Khoun Xe Mapping Project in Laos by John Pollack, Terry Bolger, Bob Osburn, Pat Kambesis, Aaron Addison and David Sawatzky, followed by Richard Kretz relaying the success story of the Lee County Cave Isopod.

Gary K. Soule then tells of the Iowa’s nearly forgotten show cave, Historic Wompi Cave and Sharon Brinkman-Windle recaps the history of the Old Timers Reunion — held September 3-7, 2015 in Dailey, WV — and invites cavers to rediscover the camaraderie of the event.

The issues rounds out with a look at Feminine Urination Device’s by Saj Zappitello, a guide how to make a climbing tripod by Robert Johnson (Vertical Bob), and Walter Lipton’s review of the ZebraLight H600Fw MkII Headlamp.
