Become a safer caver by learning through others’ experiences in the June 2015 issue of NSS News, due out soon.

This special American Caving Accidents issue warns of the hazards of caving through the reports of real-life incidents that have occurred during the past two years.

Compiled by Bonny Armstrong, the 2013-2014 American Caving Accidents features statistics and reports from 31 cave and cave diving incidents in 2013, 32 incidents in 2014 as well as a further 18 caving related incidents and 14 previously unreported incidents from prior years.

Beyond accidents, Roger Mortimer discusses the importance of staying hydrated underground and Tony Canike analyses why cavers fall and how to prevent it from happening. Finally a 2015 NSS Convention update gives important information about this years event.
