Mega Underground Bike Park Opens Today

The much-anticipated Underground Bike Park beneath Louisville, Kentucky soft launches this morning.

Part of Louisville Mega Cavern, the Mega Underground Bike Park will feature over 45 trails for all ages including Jump Lines, Pump Tracks, Dual Slalom, BMX, Cross Country and Single Track.

Prices have been set at $24 for four hours of riding and $40 for eight hours.

The 320,000 square foot (7.3 acre) bike park, constructed in a 27 kilometer (17 mile) long former limestone quarry beneath the Louisville Zoo, is the latest in a series of underground attractions which include zip-lines, an aerial ropes challenge course, a historic tram tour and even an underground drive through Christmas light show.

A grand opening is expected in March, and shortly after bike rentals will be made available. Currently, however, riders must provide their own bikes to use.
