Video Features 2013 Sistema Huautla Expedition Presentation

July 13, 2013 / Mexico, North America

Earlier this year caver divers pushed Mexico’s Sistema Huautla to a new depth of 1,545 meters (5,069 feet), once again making Sistema Huautla the deepest cave in the western hemisphere.

Shortly after returning from the trip, expedition member Chris Jewell gave a presentation on the recent explorations to the University of Texas Grotto.

Luckily for us, this the presentation was recorded and been uploaded to YouTube for our viewing pleasure.

Coming in at just over one hour long, the excellent talk gives a glimpse at the planning and organization that goes into undertaking an expedition of this magnitude, not to mention some fabulous views of the cave.
