Outdoor Adventure at Cloudland Canyon State Park in Georgia
This weekend, April 15th to 17th, Cloudland Canyon State Park in the US state of Georgia is hosting an outdoor adventure extravaganza. The weekend will feature a multitude of different activities, one of them, expected to be one of the most popular, is caving.
Members of the local Pigeon Mountain Grotto are planning to lead visitors through Sitton’s Cave, however there is a stream that runs through the cave that makes it dangerous in periods of heavy rainfall. Depending on weather and water levels at the time, children may or may not be allowed to participate.
In previous years, caving was relocated to Howard’s Waterfall Cave which is located outside the park due to weather.
There is a $5 charge for the caving event. Attendees must sign a liability waiver at the signup table, and are asked to bring sturdy shoes or boots and a dry change of clothes to change into after the trip.

Other activities during the weekend include yoga, a climbing wall, archery, tractor rides, catch-and-release fishing, orienteering, backpacking clinics, and night hikes.
