Presentation to Feature Caves Discovered in Northern Botswana
A presentation later this month will highlight the search for caves in the remote north-west of Botswana.
The talk, co-hosted by the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA), will feature speakers Gavin Selfe a geophysicist, and Roger Ellis a retired engineer who will discuss the unique ways that the new caves have been located, accessed and explored.
The project, currently known as the Gcwihaba Caves Project, aims to develop a new national park in the remote northern Botswana where the caves will play a major role.
The park has already been cited for World Heritage status and is intended to add to Botswana’s diverse list of tourist attractions.
