Fifth Annual “We And Caves” Balkan Photo Contest Kicks Off

The fifth annual Balkan photo contest has begun accepting entries.

Organized by the Balkan Speleological Union and SpeleoClub Prista-Ruse, the “We And Caves” photo contest is open to all speleologists, cavers and cave lovers.

Hoping to build off the success of last year, which saw 34 photographers from 16 countries submit 224 photos, the organizers encourage folks from all over the world to apply.

Each photographer is allowed to submit up to five photos in each of the two categories, People Underground and The Beauty of the Caves, for a total of 10 entries.

All photos must be taken during the year 2014.

The best photographs will be included in the 2016 We and Caves Calendar and a photo exhibition during The Balkan Cavers Camp in July 2015.

Not only that, six photos—first, second and third place both categories—will be awarded with charters and prizes. This year’s prizes include caving suits and bags made by Landjoff.
