Construction Workers Discover Cavity Under English Restaurant

Reigate, Surrey, United Kingdom
Construction workers stumbled on a large hole during work at a new restaurant in Reigate, a town just south of London, England.
The workers had been strengthening the foundation on the 300 year old building when the cavity was discovered.
A decently sized hole about 8 meters high and 5 meters wide, the owner of the new Thai restaurant hopes to incorporate it as a feature of the eatery, called Giggling Squid.
It is believed that this hole, like many other cavities and tunnels beneath the town, may have been dug to mine for silver sand.
