2014 Balkan Speleological Conference Announced

The Balkan Speleological Conference has just been announced to coincide with the 85th anniversary of organized caving in Bulgaria and the 50th anniversary of the Helictit Speleological Club in 2014.

Organized by Helictit Cavern Club, the conference will be hosted by the National Museum of Earth and Man and held under the patronage of the Bulgarian Federation of Speleology, the Balkan Speleological Union and the European Federation of Speleology.

The event, open to all speleological organizations and clubs, is scheduled from March 28th to 30th, 2014 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Beyond the usual goals of conferences, getting together to share knowledge and experiences, this events Organizing Committee has set a specific goal to create engaging social activities in order to facilitate real communication between participants.
