Bracken Bat Cave to be Featured in Live Webcast
A live webcast will enable people all over the world to watch millions of bats as they emerge from Bracken Bat Cave next week.
Located near San Antonio, Texas, Bracken Bat Cave is the summer home to the world’s largest bat colony. Containing millions of Mexican free-tailed bats, the colony is one of the largest concentrations of mammals on the planet.
The webcast, running next Tuesday, September 18th from 7:00pm until 8:30pm ET, will feature the bats as they leave the cave on their nightly insect hunt. Other topics discussed during the presentation will include threats the bats the face, including predators and white-nose syndrome, how you can help them, cave ecology and more.
