Jewel Cave Announces Summer Programs For Kids

This summer Jewel Cave National Monument will be hosting a number hands on educational programs for kids.
The programs, which include such exciting topics as “How Do You Map a Cave?”, “Making Stalactites above Ground” and “Batalogy”, are geared for children ages 5 – 12.
Running from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, the first program was earlier today, with the future programs slated for July 14th, August 11th, and September 8th.
Children who take part in the activity will receive a 2012 Junior Ranger Badge.
Although reservations are not required, interested participants are encouraged to call the Jewel Cave Visitor Center at (605) 673-8300 for more information.
