Friends of Wind Cave National Park Launch Website

Friends of Wind Cave National Park, a group which formed last summer in order to help “preserve and promote Wind Cave National Park as a natural and cultural treasure”, has just unveiled its new website as part of a membership drive. The group offers a way for the public to work close with the National Park Serviceon planning new trails, researching natural surroundings and assisting in building projects.

Wind Cave has always been a part of the Hot Springs experience, people came to enjoy the water, spas and often took a picnic lunch on their visit to the cave. The Friends group got started with a few people determined to refresh that partnership and to assist the Park with efforts they are restricted and/or limited to do as they are a governmental organization. ” Lon Sharp, President of the Friends of Wind Cave National Park
