60th Annual SERA Summer Cave Carnival to be Held in Tennessee

March 25, 2011

Southeastern Regional Association of the National Speleological SocietyThis year the 60th SERA Summer Cave Carnival will be held in Sewanee in the US state of Tennessee from June 9th to 12th. After a slow start, this years event has opted to keep it simple and have a “very basic camp-out”, much the same as the earlier SERA Carnivals.

During the event there will be multitude of different additives to partake in. Guided and self-guided caving trips, rope climbing contests, the always exciting squeeze box, and maybe even a band.

The Southeastern Regional Association (SERA) of the National Speleological Society (NSS) is a regional organization made up of all the NSS organizations (caving grottos (clubs) and surveys) in the Southeastern portion of the United States of America. The SERA region includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. – SERA
