Watch: Cave Divers Explore The Dark Cave’s Black Halocline

April 7, 2015 / Mexico, North America

Explore the haloclines, areas where salt and fresh water mix, of Sistema Ox Bel Ha, the longest underwater cave system in the world.

Filmed by HP Hartmann of gosidemount.com, the video visits cenote Naharon (aka Crystal), about 5 kilometers (3 miles) south of Tulum, Mexico.

Known as the “the dark cave” for its black stained walls and formations, Naharon is unique from other underwater caves in the area.
