The new British expedition archive map shows 111 expeditions to 32 countries.

A new page on the Ghar Parau Foundation website, an investment fund that provides grant aid to assist British caving expeditions, maps expeditions it’s helped fund.

As a sub-charity of the British Cave Research Association, the Ghar Parau Foundation works by investing the capital within the fund and distributing any interest to caving expeditions as grants.

To date, 111 caving expeditions to 32 countries are mapped in the archive, and that only chronicles forays between 2007 and 2014.

Besides the map, the interactive page includes a list of all the expeditions, a brief overview of each, its application to the Ghar Parau Foundation and some simple statistics such as the ratio of British to non-UK cavers and the average cost per person.

It’s clear that a lot of work went into the page. Excellent job Henry Patton.
