New Compass Update Adds Quad Map Exporting
A recent update to Compass, the popular cave survey software, introduces the ability to save the plot data from each section of a quad map.
The feature, which allows quads to be exported as shape, DXF, KML or VRML files, is especially helpful for teams where each cartographer is assigned to work on a different quad.
Additionally, a step-by-step tutorial for finding and correcting with pesky magnetic anomalies in your cave surveys has been added to the Compass website.
Available for Windows, Compass is free to try, and full registration is only $25.00.
For more information or to try it out, visit the Compass Cave Survey Software website.
