Arizona State Parks is seeking input from the public on proposed fee changes for cave tours at Kartchner Caverns State Park.

The proposed changes would replace the current year round fees for cave tours with a range of fees that increase or decrease incrementally based on the season.

As part of the change, the current Rotunda/Big Room tour fee of $22.95 for those aged 14 & up would change to a range of $18 to $30, while the price for those aged 7 to 13 would change from $12.95 to a range of $9 to $15. Although there is no fee for children aged 6 and younger, a new range between $0 to $8 would be introduced.

Other changes being proposed include a new fee for non-electric camping at the park and changing the vehicle entrance fee at Red Rock State Park to a per person fee.

For more information, or to submit your comments about the proposed fee changes, visit the Arizona State Park website, call the Arizona State Parks main office at (602) 542-4174, or write to to Arizona State Parks, Attn: Proposed Fee Changes, 1300 W. Washington St., Phoenix, Arizona 85007.

The public comment period is open until August 23, 2013.
