December 2012 NSS News Issue Preview
The December issue of NSS News has just been mailed out.
This upcoming issue features an article by Devra Heyer and Peter Sprouse on the connection between Sistema Sac Actun and Dos Ojos, which were recently joined to form the second longest cave in the world at 303 kilometers (188 miles). Meanwhile Derek Bristol offers a glimpse into his experiences surveying the long caves of the USA.
Additionally Bill Mason reports on the recent exploration of Yucatan’s underworld, and Hans Bodenhamer writes about the Bigfork High School Cave Club monitoring caves in Grand Canyon National Park.
Although the delivery may be a bit later than usual due to the holiday mail volumes, readers can expect to find a copy in their mailbox shortly.
The NSS News is the monthly publication of the National Speleological Society. It is sent to all regular (but not Basic) members of the NSS. If you’re interested in receiving copies, visit caves.org and become an NSS member today. For individual issues, visit the NSS Bookstore.
