Sinkhole Swallows Young Girl in China

A young girl walking along a sidewalk ran into trouble last month when a deep sinkhole opened up beneath her feet.

The incident was seen by a passing taxi driver who rushed to her aid, climbing into the 6 meter (18 foot) deep hole to reach her.

Although unconscious from the fall, the girl was not seriously hurt, and both were brought to the surface by firefighters.

A video of the event, captured by security camera, has been recently uploaded to YouTube.
