Fifth Annual Indiana Bat Festival

2010 Bat Festival Art Contest Runner UpThe Fifth Annual Indiana Bat Festival will be held at Indiana State University, Saturday, August 27, 2011.

The free event emphasizes that people don’t have to be afraid of bats, with live bat and bird of prey demonstrations, talks by leading bat experts and fun activities for the whole family.

Activities include exploring an inflatable cave, face painting, an art contest. There will also be conservation exhibits and information on bat houses available.

The event runs from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Indiana State University’s Science Building, and then retreats to Dobbs Park, Terre Haute, Indiana for an evening program running from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
