Philippine Speleological Society to Host 11th Caving Congress
Next month the 11th National Caving Congress will be held in Nueva Vizcaya in the Philippines. The event running from April 5 to 9, 2011 will be held at the Lower Magat Eco Tourism Park, a 1,000 hectare forest reserve in Diadi. This year’s theme will is “Caves Revisited: Towards Conservation of Nature’s Creation.”
The event hopes to bring together folks from the national government, local governments, , academia and other organizations, as well as individuals with concern for caves, their resources, ecosystems and conservation.
Hosting the event are the Philippine Speleological Society and Sang-at Salug Outdoor Club, Inc. in partnership with the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya and Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
